Sweet dreams in a big coconut cream pie

Be honest have you ever dreamed of sleeping in a coconut cream pie? No, well you don’t know what you’re missing. You can stay in Maryann’s coconut cream pie room, the newest room at the Roxbury, NY. The lovingly crafted cream ceiling took months to make, and it looks good enough to eat.
King Marv and I had a much-needed break from the Horrors The Ladies™ so we stayed at The Roxbury, one of the coolest motels ever – just 3 hours from NYC, set in rolling hills. All of the rooms have fabulously surreal themes from TV or movies from the 1960s, 70s or early 80s. You can sleep in Fred Flintstone’s Lair, under Farah Fawcett’s hair (Charlies Angels), in the damask wonder of Maria’s Curtains (think favorite things), or as we did you can imagine you are on Gilligan’s Island in Maryann’s pie.
Quality is not sacrificed for gimmickry – all the rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, good quality linens and towels and wonderful toiletries. Oh and it now has two spas. The only thing that was lacking was a slice of pie, I guess it was a case of having your pie and eating it.

So nice you got away, just the two of you, and to such fun decor! My husband and I love the 60s-80s TV shows and would enjoy seeing the different rooms. Thanks for the tip!
It is really worth the trip Darlene! I had a good look around when we were checking out as a lot of the rooms were being cleaned. The Wizard’s Emeralds is quite spectacular!
What a great getaway! Though, I’m not sure I’d be able to sleep on account of all the coconuty dreams…
