Last of the summer pesto recipe.

So after my spectacular (and mostly fabricated) list of reasons why This Little Piggy has been quiet this summer – you know performing with the Spice Girls at the Olympics.
I was then forced into radio silence through lack of an oven and a broken foot. Two unrelated incidents that made food blogging difficult impossible as hopping up and down the stairs to the grill with a plate of food was a very messy disaster waiting to happen.
Anyway before the summer is over here is my simple pesto recipe that I featured on Barista Kids. It is so easy you can make it sitting down with the help of a small child, broken foot optional. I have plenty frozen so that I can make heirloom bean soup soon – I will be sharing this fabulous recipe.
In the meantime, it is adieu to these guys as thanks to the healing powers of lobster in Cape Cod, my foot is on the mend. Now I really need to get that oven fixed.

That sounds awful but happy to hear you’re healing! The pesto looks amazing!
Thanks!
I’m so sorry to hear about your broken foot! I’m glad to know you are healing well – Cape Cod is magical in my opinion. You can never have too much pesto and yours looks lovely. Hope your foot (and oven) are both well soon and that the school year is off to a good start.
Yes Hannah – the restorative power of sea air did wonders for me! That and being carried on the sand by my husband!
