What’s for dinner? on Barista Kids
I am thrilled to be writing a column, What’s for dinner?, on Barista Kids. I will be writing this column every other Sunday to give you time to shop and plan one family meal. I will be using seasonal, fresh food as much as possible. The recipes will be quick and will have been tested on my four-year-old twins and their friends.
So, What’s For Dinner? Here are the recipes:
- Fish taco, pico de gallo, guacamole and crema mexicana
- Grassfed burgers and sweet potato fries
- Caramelized onion, bacon and gruyère quiche
- Thai fishcakes
- Mac and cheese
- Summer squash pasta
- Tomato and Cucumber Salad and whole chicken on the grill
- Chicken schnitzel nuggets
- Carrot cake squares
- Fish pie
- Berry cupcake muffins
- Roasted butternut squash soup
- Chicken chili with chocolate and barley
- Pumpkin pots de creme
- Pumpkin gratin
- Sweet potato latkes
Barista Kids is a joint venture with Baristanet. Baristanet was born in May 2004 and soon after emerged as a leader in both hyperlocal blogging and citizen journalism.
Barista Kids’ mission: To make life a little easier and a lot more fun for parents in Baristaville. I’m hoping my recipes will help with that goal!

This is fantastic! Congratulations on the new column.
Thanks Linda!
