Pumpkin Gratin

You’ll find this quick, mix and cook recipe over on Barista Kids What’s for Dinner?

This savory pumpkin recipe is from le Roi de la Cuisine (that’s French for King of the Kitchen), Jacques Pepin (and not my dearest King Marv).

Anyway hope you all have a good Thanksgiving. I won’t be cooking this year but if you still need some last-minute Thanksgiving inspiration here are a few ideas from This Little Piggy Went to the Farmers’ Market‘s archive:

How about some pumpkin and cheddar muffins for breakfast.

For an appetizer there is squash soufflé (you can substitute pumpkin), slow-cooked pumpkin soup or some roasted butternut squash soup.

A good turkey alternative is vegetarian nut “meat loaf”.

Feeling fruity – how about some cranberry sauce or  cranberry nut bread.

You could then finish it off with a pumpkin pot de crème.
